Skill Level
Beginner. We all need to start somewhere, why not with a gallbladder?
Finished Size
2.75” / 7 cm wide and 6” / 15 cm tall.
Yarn
Bulky weight (#5 chunky)Shown in: Charisma® Yarn by Loops & Threads® Passion #J38 (100% acrylic; 109 yd / 100 m; 100 g / 3.5 oz per skein);Shout out to everyone in my comments who helped me identify it!
Hook
US I-9 / 5.50 mm.
Notions
Tapestry needle, scissors, stuffing (fiber fill, scrap yarn, or beans), white and purple felt (or the face colors of your choice), cool melt glue or fabric glue.
Gauge
Ignore Gauge. No one likes Gauge anyway. If you are a strickler, though, by the end of Rnd 4 (24 sts crocheted in an increasing circle), your work will measure approximately 2.75” / 7 cm.
Notes
Someone suggested that this would also be a good pear pattern, so instructions are provided for that option, too! You will need green yarn for the pear body and brown yarn for the stem.
Adding a face is optional. Though I suppose making this at all is optional, so this is a dumb note for me to have added. I apologize for wasting 10 seconds of your day.
“Special” Stitches
Invisible single crochet decrease (inv-SC-dec): Insert hook into the FLO of the next two sts (3 loops on your hook), yo and pull through 2 loops (2 loops on your hook), yo and pull through both loops to complete the stitch. You may also use a standard single crochet two together (SC2tog) if you prefer.
